Milton Hershey graduates learned recently how to advance their career job search, courtesy of a new partnership with Central Penn College‘s career development advisors.
According to a release, Central Penn College partnered with Milton Hershey graduates and parent-sponsors to instruct them in undergoing interviews, writing resumes, and networking with employers.
The three-week program was offered to eight recent graduates of Milton Hershey School and four parent sponsors who were seeking higher-level career direction. The students and advisors met in Central Penn College classrooms every weekday for two hours.
The students’ instructions were supplemented Tuesday and Thursday afternoons as representatives from The Hershey Company, Hershey Entertainment and Resorts, Catherine Hershey School of Learning, and Penn State Health presented tips and job openings to the students, held one-on-one meetings, and held mock interviews.
One student was hired during the sessions, according to Steve Hassinger, director of the Center for Career Services and Development at Central Penn College.
