Central Pa. manufacturer expands operations
Adams County-based Yazoo Mills, the largest independent manufacturer of paper tubes and cores in North America, is expanding its operations with the construction of a third manufacturing plant in Hanover.
The new 107,000-square-foot facility in York County represents a $14 million investment. Once completed in January 2026, the facility will be the most modern paper tube and core plant in North America, per a release.
“The expansion brings Yazoo’s total footprint to three best-in-class facilities with 407,000 square feet of manufacturing space, further demonstrating our company’s commitment to innovation and exceptional service,” Yazoo Mills President Troy Eckert said in a statement. “The expansion project will include five new high-speed production lines with advanced technology to increase efficiency, improve safety and ergonomics, and expand overall production capacity.”
The New Oxford manufacturer has more than 220 employees and serves over 15,000 customers nationwide. According to a release, the expansion positions Yazoo Mills for growth as the market demand for the company’s premium products and services continues to increase.
Established in 1902, Yazoo Mills, Inc. is America’s largest family-owned and operated manufacturer of 100% recycled paper tubes and cores.
