The Center for Independent Living of Central PA (CILPA) has named a new CEO.
Brittany Boyd-Chisholm will take over the post Jan. 2 following the retirement of Janetta Green, at the end of December.
Boyd-Chisholm comes to Harrisburg-based CILCP following several years in the home care industry as an administrator at Complete Home Care where she provided services that help people to remain in their homes with support.
Prior to her position in home care, Boyd-Chisholm moved through the ranks at CILCP, beginning as a caregiver, and moving into quality management.
She also served as executive director of Home Care Living Well Services, LLC.
Boyd-Chisholm said the foundation of her career is based on the Independent Living movement, and that she’s ready to get back to the core services that support individuals with diverse disabilities to not only live independently, but to thrive. She has recently been elected to the board of the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL) and the PA Home Care Association Board of Directors.
Green has been with CILCP for 34 years serving as CEO for the last four and a half years. She has been with the agency through its inception and has been responsible for the success of multiple programs throughout the years, most recently the funding of an agency mobile office that is used in rural counties, and development and sponsorship of the CILCP adaptive sports teams, CILCP said.
