York company collaborates in strategic expansion into Md.

York-based Shipley Energy has collaborated with VP Racing Fuels, Inc. to open the latter’s first gas station in Maryland. 

Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, VP Racing Fuels, Inc., is known for performance fuel products and retail. The new station in Hagerstown is the result of a strategic collaboration with Shipley Energy, a provider of energy services throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. 

With this new station and its eight previously opened VP stations in Pennsylvania, Shipley Energy sees this partnership as a natural extension of its service offerings. per a release. 

“We are excited to continue partnering with VP Racing Fuels, bringing on additional locations in the Northeast Region,” Joshua Rode, general manager at Shipley Fuels Marketing, said in a statement. “We share a commitment to quality and performance, and we’re excited to bring VP Racing to our customers in Maryland.” 

According to a release, the licensed agreement between VP Racing and Shipley Energy will bring “high-performance fuel options to automotive enthusiasts and everyday drivers.” The Maryland location will offer a variety of VP Racing’s renowned fuels, including specialty blends designed for high-performance vehicles and traditional fuel options for standard vehicles. 

“We’re thrilled to partner with Shipley Energy to bring our first VP Racing retail location to Maryland,” said Nick Benis, Northeast Sales Manager – Branded Retail for VP Racing. “Our licensed agreement with Shipley Energy allows us to leverage their extensive experience in energy distribution to ensure our customers receive the highest quality fuels and services.” 

The Maryland station will offer customers fuel options and feature VP Racing’s range of automotive products, including motor oils, additives, and performance chemicals. The station is designed with convenience in mind, offering a modern, user-friendly experience that includes a well-stocked convenience store, made-to-order food options, and a clean, welcoming environment.  

“The decision to brand the location with VP Racing was easy,” said dealer Furrukh Jamil Malik. “My goal was to introduce something new and unique that isn’t currently available in the state of Maryland. After careful consideration, I chose the VP Racing brand due to its reputation as a high-performance fuel that remains competitively priced.”
