The former family-owned and operated company founded in 1921 by William and Salie Utz began as Hanover Home Brand with an estimated investment at the time of $300.

“Utz is proud to have called Hanover headquarters for over 100 years, and we’re pleased to share that the work that began with the opening of the Rice Distribution Center last year was only the beginning of our investments here in Hanover,” said Howard Friedman, CEO of Utz Brands, Inc.

Today, the publically traded firm is a leading U.S. manufacturer of “branded salty snacks” listed on the New York Stock Exchange and since 2020 has been part of Collier Creek Holdings, as Utz Brands, Inc., the firm’s website said.

Costs for the projects were not made public by Utz officials, nor was a timeline for groundbreaking and project completion available.

“This work underscores our commitment to building on our legacy in Hanover while preparing for our future. We are excited to invest in more efficient spaces that will support our associates and the community for many years to come,” Friedman said.

“Utz is excited to announce our investments in our Hanover headquarters. Utz has been proud to call Hanover our headquarters for over 100 years and this investment reflects our deep commitment to our employees, our community, and our future here in Hanover,” said Colleen Farley, vice president of government relations and external communications.
