Andrew, Harry, and William Schaedler founded the company as an electrical contracting business in 1924. Andrew “had an electrical brain and was a whizz at repairing radios,” the company has noted — a necessary skill when radio was the main entertainment for most families. He suggested the brothers expand into manufacturing and distribution, a pivot that set the company’s long-term trajectory.
The most significant milestone came in 1999, when Schaedler Bros. merged with York Electrical Supply to form Schaedler Yesco Distribution — combining two local distributors into one regional electrical powerhouse. Now in its fourth generation of family leadership, the company has built a reputation for pairing high-quality products from reliable partners with strong technical services to deliver solutions across the electrical industry.
