Frank Richards, founder of the company, will continue in his role as CEO, Richards Energy said in a news release.

The eldest son of Frank Richards, Pete has been with the company since its inception in 1995, most recently serving as vice president and chief technology officer. In his new role, he will work with new vice presidents Tara Quigley and Mike Frey to lead the company and make key strategic decisions, the release said.

“I’ve been honored to be a part of Richards Energy as it grew from my parents’ dining room to a leading consulting firm that works with thousands of electric and gas accounts,” Pete Richards said. “I’m confident that the executive team we have in place will maintain our family’s vision while taking the company to the next level.”

Pete Richards holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from York College. Quigley, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and Frey, with a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance, also are York College graduates.

Quigley’s new position as vice president of operations will complement her role of chief operating officer. She will continue to focus on “streamlining operations within the company by developing and implementing plans and processes to improve efficiency, quality and customer service,” the release said.

Frey will serve as vice president of key accounts and business development and will focus on project management, client services and business development. He has 12 years of professional energy experience and has served in various positions with the firm since 2002.

“Building a strong and innovative company starts with finding the right people and putting them in a position to succeed,” Frank Richards said. “Richards Energy not only has the right people in place, but also has excellent leadership depth with a culture that promotes every employee’s talents and strengths.”
