Ox Industries to buy mills in Illinois and Indiana

Hanover-based Ox Industries announced Wednesday that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase two uncoated recycled paperboard mills in Aurora, Illinois, and Eaton, Indiana, from WestRock Co., which is headquartered in Atlanta.
The deal is expected to close by the end of this year.
With this acquisition, Ox will add an estimated 150 employees between the two locations with 85,000 more tons of capacity and converting capabilities.
Ox Industries is a leader in the manufacturing of 100% recycled paperboard, specialty papers, paper tubes and cores, and protective packaging, a release said. It operates six recycled paperboard mills and eight paper tube, protective packaging and specialty converting plants with more than 600 employees in 10 states.
“We are excited to work with the Aurora and Eaton teams and welcome them to Ox,” Kevin Hayward, Ox Industries’ CEO, said. “These facilities will add to our mill system and increase our niche business of vertically integrated converted paper products in the Midwest.”
