Enola-based Members 1st Federal announced the promotion of Christine (Christy) Pavlakovich to chief operating officer.

According to a release, Pavlakovich will oversee retail and branch operations, risk and compliance, , physical security as well as human resources and learning and development.

“Christy leads with purpose and with heart,” Michael Wilson, president and CEO of Members 1st, said in a statement. “She has a deep understanding of our people, a real appreciation for the work they do and a passion for building strong relationships across our organization. Christy embodies what it means to serve others, and her leadership has already made a tremendous impact on our associates and our members.

“We are grateful to have her step into this role and help guide us into the future.”

Pavlakovich joined Members 1st in 2023 as chief people officer and advanced to chief administrative officer the following year. Since joining the credit union, she has been instrumental in enhancing associate engagement, driving organizational development strategies and supporting the expansion of the Members 1st footprint.

Prior to Members 1st, Pavlakovich served as Employee Experience Leader at First Commonwealth Bank, where she introduced initiatives to attract and retain top talent. From 2017 to 2023, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Centric Bank, overseeing strategic HR operations. Pavlakovich spent more than a decade at Metro Bank, leading organizational development and HR functions and contributing to enterprise risk management as part of the Leadership Team.

Pavlakovich was named a Women Making a Difference honoree by Central and has been a finalist for both the West Shore Chamber of Commerce Luminary Awards Visionary Award and the Conference for Women Lifetime Achievement Award.
