Leitzel’s Jewelry president honored on 20 Under 40 in Jewelry Retail list and more

Accounting 

Scott A. Koman, a manager with Camp Hill-based Boyer & Ritter with extensive accounting and advisory experience, was recognized by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts and the Consultants’ Training Institute as among its list of leading 30 professionals 30 years of age and younger. 

Banking 

Gettysburg-based ACNB Bank recently presented the 2023 Volunteer of the Year Award to Gary W. Rappoldt, senior vice president/regional commercial lending manager, in recognition of his community involvement. The Optimist Club of Gettysburg received a $1,000 contribution from ACNB Bank to acknowledge Rappoldt’s exemplary volunteer service. 

Fulton Bank, a subsidiary of Fulton Financial Corp., released its 2022 Corporate Social Responsibility Report showcasing how Fulton Bank continues to meet its purpose of changing lives for the better. Some highlights include: $10.8 million in charitable contributions and donations via Fulton Bank from 2021-2022, and 26,391 employee volunteer hours from 2021 to 2022. 

Enola-based Members 1st Federal Credit Union announce that its chairman of the board of directors, Jon Kirssin, received the 2023 Calvin Jackson Lifetime Achievement Award for Volunteer of the Year from CrossState Credit Union Association. In addition, the credit union’s indirect sales and service manager, Deana Barnes, was named one of the top three finalists in CrossState Credit Union Association’s 2023 Credit Union Ambassador Contest. 

Engineering 

On May 24, Marc Malvizzi, of Harrisburg-based Schaedler Yesco, was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award during the National Association of Electrical Engineers national meeting in Florida. 

Health Care 

In recognition for successful programs to reduce their environmental impact, Lebanon VA Medical Center received the Partner for Change Award from Practice Greenhealth, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to environmental sustainability in health care. This is the seventh year in a row Lebanon VAMC has been granted the award. 

Law 

Lancaster-based Barley Snyder is pleased to announce Partner Jennifer Craighead Carey has been honored as a Marvelous Marauder by her alma mater, Millersville University. 

Logistics 

New Freedom-based Nexterus, a supply chain management and third-party logistics services provider, was named as one of the winners of Food Logistics’ 2023 Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers Award, which recognizes leading third-party logistics and cold storage providers in the cold food and beverage industry. 

Media 

The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC was recognized by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives as a 2023 Communications Excellence Award winner. The Chamber’s video highlighting a member business was named the best video nationally in the Chamber’s peer video category. 

Miscellaneous 

Jewelers of America, the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, has named Allison Leitzel Williams as one of the recipients of the 20 Under 40 in Jewelry Retail list. Williams is the president and co-owner of Leitzel’s Jewelry, a family-owned jeweler in Myerstown and Hershey. 

Manufacturing 

Lancaster-based Ecore International’s Heritage Motivate performance vinyl tile claimed top honors in the Resilient Flooring category of this year’s IIDA/HD Expo Product Design Awards and was selected as a Sustainable Product category winner of the 2023 SEAL Business Sustainability Awards. Additionally, Ecore was recently recognized as a ‘Leader’ in the MindClick Sustainability Program, solidifying its position as a model of environmental excellence. 

Technology 

Lancaster-based Cargas is honored to be recognized as the Sage Intacct Partner of the Month for April 2023 by Sage Intacct, the fastest-growing provider of on-demand financial management and accounting software.
