According to a release, the platform is designed to help combat ‘s growing workforce crisis in , offering a resource for employers and job seekers.

“The workforce crisis is one of the greatest challenges for our members, particularly as the older population rapidly outpaces the working-aged population,” LeadingAge PA Director of Member Engagement & Workforce Solutions Erin McDermott said in a statement. “The Career Center is more than a job board; it’s an investment in the future of our sector. By connecting providers with motivated candidates and reinvesting proceeds into scholarships and education, we’re helping strengthen the pipeline of professionals dedicated to caring for older adults.

“I urge anyone who’s considering their options, to strongly consider working in this field; a career in aging services is an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life,” said McDermott.

The Career Center seeks to simplify workforce efforts by connecting providers with quality candidates with an interest in healthcare, hospitality, administration, and other roles. Job seekers can access opportunities across areas of interest and experience levels, from nursing and therapy to hospitality, administration, and leadership.

Proceeds from job postings support the LeadingAge PA Foundation’s education fund, which provides scholarships and career development opportunities for individuals pursuing careers in aging services.

“What I enjoy most about my career in aging services is the relationships I’ve built and the stories I’ve been able to share in this work,” said Baptist Senior Family CRM and Marketing Specialist Donald Turner Jr., LNHA. “Every day, I have the privilege of learning from older adults who have lived such full and meaningful lives, and that perspective is something I carry with me in everything I do. It’s meaningful to me because this sector is about more than care; it’s about respect, connection, and creating communities where people feel valued and supported at every stage of life.”

A organization based in in , LeadingAge PA is a trade association representing more than 400 senior housing, healthcare, and community services across the state. These providers serve over 75,000 older Pennsylvanians and employ more than 50,000 daily.
