The Quarter bar and restaurant in downtown Harrisburg is for sale for $2.2 million,
according to the local real estate firm selling the property and business.

The restaurant, which has a New
Orleans French Quarter theme, is at 321
N. Front St.
, and is a fixture on the northern end
of the stretch of Second Street
called “Restaurant Row.” The restaurant is split among four floors, including
the basement, which houses a jazz club.

The sale includes a liquor license,
restaurant equipment, furniture and fixtures. The 20,000-square-foot brick
building was renovated and opened in 2006.

The restaurant is still open and
owner Braam Hattingh is doing good business, said Bill Gladstone, listing agent
for the property. Hattingh is tired of the restaurant business, however, and
wants to get back to more normal working hours, Gladstone said.  Gladstone
heads the Bill Gladstone Group at NAI CIR based in Wormleysburg, Cumberland County.
