Chambersburg-based independent community bank F&M Trust plans to open its first office in Maryland early next year.
F&M Trust announced this week that it will be opening a new office at 83 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, Maryland in 2022. The location is the first F&M Trust community office located outside of South Central Pennsylvania.
The company currently has 21 community offices in Franklin, Fulton, Cumberland and Huntingdon counties. The company has approximately $1.7 billion in assets.
The Maryland office is not the only real estate project the bank plans to complete in 2022.
Earlier this year, F&M Trust completed the purchase of its new 1500 Nitterhouse Drive, Chambersburg headquarters. It purchased the 67,000-square-foot building for $7 million and sold its 20 South Main Street headquarters for $3.3 million.
F&M is currently operating at the 20 South Main Street headquarters under a lease agreement until its new facility finishes renovations in late 2022.
