
Dutch Gold Honey is a 67% woman owned business based in Lancaster. The company manufactures and processes pure honey and maple syrup. The family-owned business has 75 employees.
According to a March 2024 CPBJ Power 100 Profile, As the president and CEO of Dutch Gold Honey, which was founded by her parents in 1946, Nancy Gamber Olcott said it is her responsibility to carry forth her father’s commitment to “Only pack the best.”
“This principle, set forth by my parents and older siblings, Bill and Marianne, has been instrumental in how I approach my role. Dutch Gold’s 78-year history would not be possible without the support of committed employees. I feel a responsibility to them, as well as to our customers and long-term suppliers.”
This past year, Dutch Gold Honey was in part of a nationwide Hot Honey Chicken sandwich promotion, she said, “that we celebrated with our entire staff, as it was truly a team effort. It was a testament to the dedication and quality-minded Dutch Gold employees that make all the difference.”
According to Dutch Gold’s website, the Gamber family established the Gamber Foundation in 1984. Funds go to local charities as well as to ecological research and development to protect honeybee and sugar maple populations. One beneficiary is the Dutch Gold Honey and William R. Gamber II Endowment in Entomology that supports undergraduates in Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences.
