Listen to this articleDaniel R. Pietropola always wanted to work in construction. As a child, he wanted to build homes and watching the progress of construction fascinated him. He now serves as vice president of construction for High Concrete Group. His first paying job, however, was picking strawberries on a farm. He describes this as hard work that didn’t pay much, but it taught him the value of education and money.
Pietropola’s colleagues would describe him as persistent and resourceful, a keen negotiator and someone who always finds the humor in life. He describes himself as passionate and motivated by new challenges, building customer relationships and learning new things. Pietropola describes starting his own company and working from home as his best mistakes. But his biggest successes are his wife, Lisa, and their two daughters, Giuliana and Marina. In his free time, he enjoys his family, finding yard sales, watching boxing, cooking and music.
