Cumberland County receives more than $1.16 million for projects
As part of the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) and PA Arts and Culture Recovery (PACR) grant programs, more than $1.16 million in funding has been awarded to municipalities and an arts organization in Cumberland County.
CFA and PACR are independent agencies. CFA holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in the state’s economic growth.
“CFA and PACR grants provide needed and appreciated dollars to significant projects in our communities,” said Rep. Sheryl Delozier, R-Cumberland, said in a statement. “For New Cumberland and Mechanicsburg boroughs, this means financial support for wastewater projects that benefit all residents of the municipalities.”
Funding will go toward the following projects:
- New Cumberland Borough, $391,416 to complete the 3rd Avenue sewer project in New Cumberland Borough.
- Mechanicsburg Borough, $425,000 to perform grit removal at the Mechanicsburg Borough wastewater treatment plant.
- Lower Allen Township Authority, $340,000 to upgrade sewer interceptors in Lower Allen Township.
- Susquehanna Chorale, $11,143 to cover operating expenses for the organization in Lower Allen Township.
“I was glad to be an advocate for these projects, as well as the grant award for the Susquehanna Chorale, which remains one of the top vocal ensembles in the Mid-Atlantic Region,” said Delozier.
