Central Pennsylvania‘s Mason Dixon Distillery won first place in the Ready To Drink Cocktail category at the PA Farm Show for its Jalapeno Mule canned cocktail.
The Gettysburg-based distillery also announced canned cocktail expansion plans for this year.
“We are so proud of our team,” Owner Yianni Barakos said in a statement. “This is what happens when bold flavor meets disciplined craft. No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just an award-winning cocktail, ready when you are.”
One of the fastest growing canned cocktail brands in the mid-Atlantic region, Mason Dixon Canned Cocktails recently expanded into the greater Philadelphia area and is planning expansion into Maryland. According to a release, the brand has quickly become a standout in the Ready To Drink (RTD) beverage category. These expansion plans are part of the brands strategy to be a top-tier player in the RTD space.
“The licensing process for Maryland is well under way and a Spring launch into Maryland is planned”, Sales Manager Brandon Vogelsong said. “Maryland is a natural region for us to go into due to proximity and due to the fact that we already have Maryland customers that come to our restaurant in Gettysburg and they are well familiar with the quality of our products. Now they will be able to get Mason Dixon Canned Cocktails at their local retail location in Maryland.”
The company’s plans for 2026 also call for adding significantly more Pennsylvania distributors. Market momentum has been increasing for the brand in Pennsylvania as they now have over 130 retail distributors in the state carrying Mason Dixon Canned Cocktails and have been in talks with some large retail chains.
Mason Dixon’s Restaurant at 331 E. Water St in Gettysburg reopens Friday following their winter break, with new creations and special offerings from Chef Cameron Matney. The restaurant has hundreds of 5-star reviews and accolades, per the release.
