Camp Hill-based investment firm HB Capital has acquired Structural Building Components LLC, a specialty contractor headquartered in Deer Field Beach, Florida.
HB Capital is committed to advancing employee ownership and creating sustainable opportunities for workers, according to a release. It specializes in acquiring and supporting businesses as they move to employee ownership, aiming to build more resilient and successful companies in the process.
The acquisition of SBC represents a milestone in HB Capital’s mission to promote broad-based employee ownership by facilitating the sale of equity from the current owner(s) to employees while outperforming average private equity market returns.
Structural Building Components LLC will continue operating under its current management team, retaining its brand and commitment to delivering high-quality construction services, the release said.
The third largest structural construction company in Florida, SBC specializes in the provision of structural shells for single and multifamily homes. SBC’s management has developed relationships with builders and specialized subcontractors over the past three decades, and its diverse client base consists of national and regional residential and commercial real estate developers. The acquisition of SBC also strengthens HB Capital’s commitment to create meaningful wealth for blue-collar employees.
