To mark the occasion, senior NASDAQ officials invited York Water to close the market on Monday by ringing its celebratory closing bell virtually.

This is not the first time the company has had the honor of closing the day’s trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market. In 2016, York Water rang the closing bell for its 200th anniversary.

However, this time the company’s leaders were unable to travel to One Liberty Plaza to ring the bell and, instead, did so virtually.

“We are thrilled to be back at NASDAQ to ring today’s closing bell to commemorate this unparalleled, history-making achievement,” said Hand.
