UPMC plans to open its newest orthopedic practice to west shore residents on April 1 to complement another orthopedic facility opening this month.
UPMC West Shore Orthopaedics’ new Enola office is set to open at 1830 Good Hope Road, Enola next month, Harrisburg-based UPMC Pinnacle announced on Tuesday.
The facility will include seven orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine providers.
“The new UPMC West Shore Orthopaedics practice further strengthens our network of employed and independent orthopedic providers committed to giving our patients exceptional spine, bone and joint care,” said Philip Guarneschelli, UPMC Pinnacle president.
The office shares the same building as Arlington Orthopedics-UPMC, which opens on March 15. Arlington Orthopedics joined UPMC in June of last year along with the Pennsylvania Spine Institute.
Upon affiliating with the system, Guarneschelli said in a statement that the orthopedic provider would help UPMC make access to orthopedic care easier and more convenient for the community.
“Our organizations complement each other with committed staff and physicians with the right skills, compassion, and resources to provide the best orthopedic care for patients in central Pennsylvania,” he said.
Arlington Orthopedics-UPMC will also offer orthopedic and sports medicine care from nine providers.
