A grocery store in Lebanon County has received a complete renovation and will reopen next week.
Price Rite Marketplace, based in Keasbey, New Jersey, will debut its updated store at 2299 Cumberland St. in North Lebanon Township on March 13, along with four locations in Rochester, N.Y. The supermarket chain is finishing the roll out of its award-winning store concept, which is focused on deep discounts and fresh foods. The roll out follows successful store rebrands in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island locations that began in the fall of 2018.
More than 50 stores have been involved in the renovations and rebranding that secured a 2019 National Grocers Association Creative Choice Award for outstanding marketing and merchandising in the supermarket industry.
“Our customers have embraced the marketplace feel, focus on fresh foods, and amazing deals at our rebranded stores,” said Jim Dorey, president of Price Rite Marketplace. “We are excited to bring this streamlined shopping experience to our shoppers in Rochester and Lebanon.”
The new concept stores feature the new Price Rite Marketplace “Drop Zone,” which was designed as a unique in-store destination where customers can find deals and special surprise buys typically priced at $5 or less.
Rebranded locations also offer wider selections of the Wholesome Pantry private label products, with organic and gluten-free options, along with market-style produce departments featuring fresh fruit, vegetables and organic products.
Price Rite Marketplace is a registered trademark of Wakefern Food Corp. and is the largest supermarket cooperative in the United States. Price Rite Marketplace opened its first store in 1995 under the name Price Rite Supermarkets, and currently operates more than 60 grocery stores in the Mid-Atlantic region and New England.
