PennAir CEO Cheryl Rhein is stepping down after nine years of leadership and passing the baton to her son-in-law, Seth Bray, who has been the company’s COO for the last four years.
The Springettsbury Township, York County-based distributor was founded by Rhein’s father in 1968 and sells pneumatic, hydraulic, electromechanical, automation and robotic components and systems to manufacturers.
Rhein became chairman of the company board on June 14, while Bray moved up to CEO.
“I am excited for the future of PennAir with Seth as CEO, and look forward to working alongside him as chairman,” Rhein said. “His innovative view of our industry, coupled with a strong background in finance, uniquely position him for success.”
Bray, who has worked for the company for five years, has a degree in quantitative finance from James Madison University in Virginia.
Rhein’s husband, Bob Rhein will continue as PennAir’s president and said he is happy about Bray’s promotion.
“I cannot think of a more qualified person who has all the skills necessary to lead PennAir in the future,” Bob Rhein said.
PennAir employs 70 people and distributes to companies across the Mid-Atlantic region.
