Moove In Self Storage expands into Albany, NY area

York-based Moove In Self Storage has acquired Glenmont Self Storage and Selkirk Self Storage located just outside of Albany, NY in the Albany-Schenectady-Troy, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Glenmont property, located at 560 Route 9W, offers 438 temperature- controlled units, 613 traditional units, and a 500 square foot office.

The Selkirk satellite property, located at 78 Thatcher Street, features an additional 168 traditional drive-up units and 12 parking spaces for RV, boat, and vehicle storage.

The 55.22-acre acquisition, now called Moove In- Glenmont, will be operated out of the Glenmont office which will be renovated to reflect Moove In branding.

“The acquisition of Glenmont and Selkirk allows Moove In to establish a brand presence in the upstate New York market,” said Vice President of Operations for Moove In, Brian Foran. “We are thrilled to be able to operate one of the largest and most well-maintained facilities in the Albany area. Moove In will be implementing an online rental system that will greatly benefit current and future tenants.”

The new sites, owned by National Storage Affiliates, will be managed by Investment Real Estate Management, LLC under the Moove In Self Storage brand.
