Milton Hershey School announces location for new central office
Milton Hershey School (MHS) announced on Tuesday that its new Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning (CHS) will be opening its central administrative office at 1840 Fishburn Road this spring.
Prior to breaking ground on the first of its six early childhood resource centers, the Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning is set to open a new administrative office in Hershey.
When complete, the new Derry Township-based central office will include up to 20 positions, including an executive officer, project coordinator, communications/marketing manager and administrative assistant.
The building housing the incoming office was used as a student home by the Milton Hershey School until 1999.
“Derry Township is the obvious choice for the location of our CHS Central Office and we’re pleased that the location has a strong tie to Milton Hershey School history,” said Peter Gurt, President of Milton Hershey School and Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning. “We are eager to hire for these important new positions as our expansion into early childhood education becomes a reality.”
CHS is a $350 million initiative to build learning centers for children under the age of five and offer support for their families such as job skills. The first of the six announced learning centers is scheduled to be built on the MHS campus by spring 2023.
