Millworks brewery and restaurant adds virus filtration system, to reopen Nov. 11
The Millworks brewery and restaurant in midtown Harrisburg will reopen Nov. 11 after installing a virus filtration system throughout its HVAC system and taking other COVID-19 precautions.
Millworks owner Joshua Kesler said in a release that guests will also have their temperatures taken by an automatic wrist scanner by the front door.
“We’ve learned a lot over the past couple months about how to protect our staff and customers,” Kesler said. “The Millworks is such a large space we can seat the current maximum of 50 percent and still exceed the state’s social distance guidelines.”
The hours will be 4-10 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and opening 10 a.m. Sundays for brunch.
Reservations are encouraged due to COVID-19 seating limitations. The Millworks also offers a full takeout menu and curbside delivery.
The Millworks has been closed since July 8 after a worker tested positive for COVID-19, and the restaurant donated newly arrived food shipments to local charities, the release said.
Adding the virus filtration system cost about $10,000, which he called money well-spent to keep staff and guests safe.
At 340 Verbeke St., Harrisburg, The Millworks takes its name from the former Stokes Millwork. Much of the historic timber and brick was preserved during renovation of the 24,000-square-foot building.
