The Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce will host state agencies for a workforce initiatives workshop.
The workshop will be held in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, Department of Corrections, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, and Veterans Affairs.
The program, “Unlocking Untapped Talent: Building Your Workforce”, is designed to help employers explore new strategies to address hiring challenges. The event is scheduled for April 28, beginning at 8 am in the Chamber Office.
“With Lebanon County’s unemployment rate at just 3.2%, employers must think strategically about workforce solutions,” Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Karen Groh said in a statement. “By better understanding available programs, they can not only meet hiring needs but also create meaningful opportunities for individuals to contribute to our regional economy.”
According to a release, this program will highlight new pathways to hiring and provide practical guidance on tapping into underutilized workforce resources to strengthen businesses. Attendees will hear from experts representing state and regional organizations, each offering insights, connections, and actionable solutions to help employers meet their workforce needs.
The workshop will be held from 8-10 a.m. at the chamber offices and will feature a series of presentations followed by a panel discussion.
