The Hershey Company has been named one of the companies that Pennsylvania workers trust most amid AI replacement.
A survey by resume.io listed The Hershey Company #1 in Pennsylvania, followed by Penn State University, and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).
“Even as Hershey grows into a modern global brand, the company still feels rooted in craftsmanship, team collaboration and a kind of old-fashioned pride in the product,” resume.io stated in a release. “Employees talk about the subtle decisions, the hands-on quality checks and the community feel that define the work. In Pennsylvania, Hershey maintains a reputation as a grounded, people-first employer — sweet in more ways than one.”
In the resume.io survey to reveal the employers Americans trust most to protect human jobs in the age of AI, The Hershey Company ranked 14th nationally, followed by Penn State at #28 and UPMC at #33.
Vermont-based Ben & Jerry’s was rated #1 nationally, with The Coca-Cola Company in Georgia #2, and Four Seasons Resort Maui, Hawaii #3.
“Not long ago, people chose employers based on the usual mix of salary, flexibility, and perhaps the company values,” Amanda Augustine, resident career expert at resume.io and a Certified Professional Career Coach, said in a statement. “What this survey reveals is a meaningful shift: workers are now thinking more deliberately about whether a company can offer long-term stability in an AI-driven world.
“What stands out is that the employers topping the list are viewed as human-powered, grounded in judgment, creativity, and care. These companies feel more resilient because they use technology to support people, not replace them. And as we head into 2026, that balance is becoming a powerful source of confidence for workers,” added Augustine.
