It already started, but it’s still not too late to hop on the trail of the York County Coffee Crawl.
The weeklong celebration, which ends Oct. 1, was created to showcase local, independent coffee shops in York County.
Explore York is partnering with 18 coffee shops to promote the third annual Coffee Crawl, created in honor of National Coffee Day and International Coffee Day.
“To highlight the unique and diverse items offered by York County coffee shops, we are asking as many people as possible to post a ‘selfie’ to social media enjoying their favorite brewed beverage from participating establishments,” Melissa Beaverson, Explore York’s director of destination marketing, said in a release. “The goal is to support our area’s independent owners and to draw attention to the local coffee makers who choose York County as their preferred place to run a business.”
Explore York is offering prizes for those who use the hashtags #ExploreYorkPA #YoCoCoffeeCrawl and #HaveitMadeHere in their posts on social media. Prizes include gift certificates to participating shops, coffee and more. There is no requirement to visit every location (participants are here) to win a prize, but Explore York is encouraging everyone to visit as many shops as possible to support local business owners. In addition, many of the participating business are using this week to support their own local causes.
