Central Penn Business Journal launches CPBJ 300 list of top business leaders

Central Penn Business Journal is launching a new recognition platform that will be the end-all, be-all list for influential businesses leaders in Pennsylvania’s mid-state region.

The CPBJ 300 is Central Penn Business Journal’s first-ever, one-stop list of the mid-state’s most powerful and impactful leaders in business, nonprofits, government, and higher education.

The CPBJ 300 will be essential reading for any businessperson who wants to know who the region’s top movers and shakers are across a diverse mix of industries.

“We made the decision to shift gears in our Power List presentation this year,” said Ernie Long, editor of CPBJ. “While we have been highlighting the most influential Central PA business leaders for several years, this change takes that focus to the next level by dramatically increasing the number of professions and executives honored and creating one source —  powered by a robust website as well as a high-end gloss magazine — for our readers to refer to all year long.”

The CPBJ 300 is based on staff research, with recommendations taken into consideration. We categorize leaders across more than 28 major sectors, though we do not rank executives.

Central Penn Business Journal editors choose which organizations and leaders make the list and what we say about them. The CPBJ 300 is not an award or an endorsement; it’s simply a recognition that a person holds a position of power.

A CPBJ event later this year — Icon Awards — recognizes lifetime achievement.

“CPBJ 300 represents the premier recognition platform for business leaders who have set the foundation for the mid-state region’s economic success and are charting the path for the region’s future growth,” said Long. “This is the gold standard to acknowledge the impact of innovators and icons across the mid-state region’s most important business sectors.”
