Sauder’s Eggs’ donations aid families facing food insecurities

Lititz-based recently donated 23,400 dozen eggs to local organizations that support families facing food insecurities.

The donation totaled more than 280,000 eggs and is aimed at aiding families in Lancaster and Lebanon counties during the recent and reduction in .

“Our family has been part of this community for generations, and we’re proud to give back to the neighbors who have supported us for over 80 years,” Sauder’s Eggs President & CEO Mark Sauder said in a statement. “Working alongside these dedicated organizations allows us to ensure that families have access to fresh, nutritious food when it matters most.”

The donation directly assists families dealing with food insecurity. , , and Chirstian Ministries each received a significant delivery of Sauder’s Eggs. The organizations distributed the eggs to more than 73,000 community members who rely on SNAP assistance in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties.

“This donation couldn’t have come at a better time,” said Devon Almodovar, engagement manager at Blessings of Hope. “With the recent loss of SNAP benefits, we’ve seen a surge in demand. Sauder’s generosity will help keep eggs, which is a vital source of protein, on the tables of thousands of local families.”
