York Traditions co-founder joins investment bank

Investment bank Murphy McCormack Capital Advisors has hired Shawn Stine as its senior vice president.

Stine will oversee client relationship management and help expand the firm’s presence in Central and southern Pennsylvania, as well as in northern Maryland.


Stine was a founder and organizer of York Traditions Bank, based in York Township. His experience includes 25 years in executive-level management at Drovers Bank, York Traditions Bank, and PeoplesBank. He most recently served on the leadership team at PeoplesBank, managing a loan portfolio of $115 million. He was a member of the bank’s senior loan officer committee.

McCormack, founder and managing partner of Murphy McCormack Capital Advisors, said in a statement. “He is a proven leader and we are confident that his addition to the team will enable us to continue maximizing opportunities for our clients in the current robust M&A market.”

Stine is active in civic and charitable organizations and serves on the board of trustees for Junior Achievement of South Central Pennsylvania. He has also served as president of both the Strand Capitol Performing Arts Center, now the the Appell Center for the Performing Arts, and the United Methodist Stewardship Foundation.

Murphy McCormack Capital Advisors is an investment bank based in Lewisburg and with representatives in Harrisburg and Sinking Spring.
