York self-storage company expands to Harrisburg and Jonestown

Moove In Self Storage has acquired two new facilities. 

The York-based company said it has acquired Storage Sense on Sycamore St., Harrisburg, and Cloverleaf Self Storage with three properties in Jonestown and Fredericksburg. 

Storage Sense will be the first Moove In location in Harrisburg. Moove In said the 56,850 net rentable square foot facility consists of seven traditional drive-up storage buildings, one single story climate-controlled building, and one office building with drive-up units in the rear, totaling 461 units.  

Now called Moove In Sycamore, the 5.8-acre site features 420 feet of frontage along PA Route 441 which parallels the Susquehanna River, Moove In said.  

“We are beyond excited to expand our already tenured operations team into the Harrisburg market.” said Vice President of Operations Shaun Lewy. “This new facility on Sycamore Street offers enhanced options for customers to store their belongings in drive-up and climate-controlled units at a clean and secure property.” 

The Cloverleaf Self Storage acquisition, now called Moove in – Jonestown, includes two primary properties on either side of U.S. Route 22 in Jonestown, and a third property located four miles east in Fredericksburg, also alongside U.S. Route 22.  

When combined, the three sites consist of 11 traditional drive-up storage buildings with 447 units with more than 72,600 net rentable square feet. 

Moove In said it plans to upgrade the facility with new offices and new rental units.  

 “Since our inception nearly 25 years ago, we have considered central Pennsylvania our home.” Lewy said. “We are thrilled to now offer the community of Jonestown and surrounding areas with not only our expertise in self-storage, but to also to provide the best experience while they store with us.” 

Both acquisitions will be re-branded according to Moove In standards and will begin to offer rentals through the Moove In website.
