MKT Metal Manufacturing Inc. has scooped up the fabrication assets of an HVAC contractor in North Carolina and opened its first production facility outside York County.
MKT Metal also hired the contractor’s 15 fabrication employees, according to company spokesperson Samantha Melhorn. The facility purchased by MKT is in Wilson, N.C.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
MKT Metal has 116 employees at its main facility in Manchester Township, York County. The company specializes in fabricating sheet-metal duct work and HVAC accessories.
The North Carolina company remains in business as a contractor, Melhorn said.
