York County’s electronics recycling site to move

New location on Black Bridge Road, Manchester Township, to begin next week

The York County Solid Waste Authority is planning to move its residential electronics recycling program to a new site on Black Bridge Road in Manchester Township.

The move, which begins next Tuesday, Aug. 16, relocates the electronics recycling from its current site, the yard-waste transfer site off of Flour Mill Road, to the new location directly across the street from the York County Resource Recovery Center.

The weekly program is free to York County residents only every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

The electronics recycling program collection site is being relocated due to the start of construction of the ash processing and recycling facility, York County solid waste officials said.

Two municipal satellite sites, in Penn and Fairview townships, will continue to conduct electronics recycling during regular business hours. Both will accept electronics from all York County residents and offer weekday and Saturday collection hours.

Call or visit the website for times and locations in Penn Township and Fairview Township.
