York-based Holla Spirits expanding into North Carolina market

Holla Spirits of York is expanding into North Carolina through a partnership with Johnson Brothers Distributors. 

Based in North Carolina, Johnson Brothers is a third-generation family company founded in 1953 by Lynn Johnson. 

Holla Spirits President and Founder Patrick Shorb said in a statement that partnering with one of the leading wine, beer, and spirits distributors in the U.S. is the next evolution of Holla Spirits’ growth and expansion outside the Mid-Atlantic region. 

“We can’t wait to share Holla with Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Asheville and other metros in the Tar Heel state,” Shorb said. “Holla vodkas are made for the outdoors, and our Ready-to-Drink vodka cocktails will be an especially great complement to fun times with friends at NC’s beaches, lakes, and hiking outposts.

“As a like-minded family company, Johnson Brothers is the ideal partner to bring Holla to the North Carolina market.” 

Through its partnership with Johnson Brothers, Holla Spirits will take its premium vodka and Ready-to-Drink cocktail portfolio to North Carolina consumers and retailers.

The millennial owned Holla Spirits donated 10% of its Sweetfire Jalapeno vodka sales last summer to Uplifting Athletes, a nonprofit that raises awareness and research funds for rare childhood diseases. 

Holla Spirits are currently available in more than 350 Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores throughout Pennsylvania, as well as bars, breweries, clubs, and restaurants throughout the state. They are also available in Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
