Hogg Construction, Inc., a general contractor based in York, has been sold to Pittsburgh-based Massaro Construction Group.
Hogg announced the sale this afternoon. adding that customers will not notice any changes. The name and all employees are being retained, with James W. Hogg continuing as president.
“Massaro was looking to expand its operations in central Pennsylvania and Maryland at the same time I was developing a plan to continue the growth of Hogg Construction and provide even more significant career opportunities for our employees,” Hogg said in a news release.
Hogg Construction has done construction work in central Pennsylvania and Maryland since 1952. The company handles a range of construction projects, including senior living, retail, industrial and religious facilities.
The two construction companies are very similar and will be stronger as a combined entity, Hogg said.
“This joining of forces will allow us to bring new and powerful tools into play for the purpose of delivering additional real value to our customers,” he added.
