A businessman with over 25 years of experience in business leadership is the new president of York architecture and design firm LSC Design.
Mark Gerner was hired as the firm’s president after a six-month nationwide search, LSC announced Monday.
LSC’s former president, Robert Kinsley, will serve as its CEO, and will work alongside Gerner to lead the firm in growing in the region and along the East Coast.
Gerner comes to York from Texas, and has served in several leadership positions in multiple industries, including architecture, design, marketing, software services, and the oil and gas sectors, LSC said in a news release.
He has focused on market development for these industries in the U.S. as well as in Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, officials said.
Gerner also has developed a process-based business modeling methodology that has been used by Fortune 500 companies undergoing large-scale business transformation.
CEO Kinsley said in the statement he expects “an exciting time of growth” for LSC, calling the addition of Gerner “a testament to the appeal of this community and region to business leaders nationwide.”
Gerner said in the statement that his favorite projects include those involving urban redevelopment, and he noted that LSC has done many such projects in York, Lancaster, Gettysburg, Baltimore and Washington D.C.
He and Kinsley are “focused on serving as an industry leader of urban redevelopment, both here and throughout the region, as we continue to grow,” Gerner added.
LSC, founded in 1980 as Land Survey Consultants, offers architecture, site design and engineering, structural engineering, interior design and other services.
