Small businesses and nonprofits in York County can apply for up to $20,000 in coronavirus recovery money through the YoCo Strong Restart Grant Fund 2021 program.
The application process begins 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, and ends 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19. The fund is administered by the York County Economic Alliance, with money allocated by York County from the federal American Rescue Plan Act. Applications must be submitted electronically, with requested documentation.
The Restart program may be used on such expenses as rent, utilities and equipment (incurred from June 30, 2021, to Dec. 31, 2021) for small businesses and nonprofits experiencing negative economic impact from COVID-19.

Grants for applicants that began operations prior to Dec. 31, 2020, will be based on 2020 revenues from tax returns. For applicants incorporated on or after Jan. 1, 2021, a year-to-date 2021 profit and loss statement is acceptable.
