Wolf to reopen remaining 18 red-phase counties on June 5, commissioner says

Gov. Tom Wolf will move the remaining 18 currently red-phase counties situated in the south-central and southeast of the state into phase yellow on June 5, according to an announcement by Lancaster County Commissioner Josh Parsons, referencing a call with the governor’s office on Twitter.

The commissioner announced via social media Wolf is expected to make today an announcement at 4 p.m.

That means the counties of Bucks, Berks, Chester, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Huntingdon, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Montgomery, Monroe, Northampton, Philadelphia, Pike and Schuylkill counties will transition to limited operations on June 5, according to Parson’s tweet.

“We are already moving forward here, but how many biz will close in those 2 weeks that could have opened?” Parsons said in his tweet, posted at 1:13 p.m. Friday. “How many jobs lost? On plus side, they did not call me a ‘coward’ or ‘deserter’ today.”
