COVID has taken out another group of restaurants in York County.
On Tuesday, the White Rose Restaurant Group announced the temporary closures of all its restaurants and catering operations. The announcement came via a post on the White Rose Bar & Grill Facebook page.
“We will use this time to regroup and plan to re-open as soon as regulations cease,” White Rose COO Jeremiah Anderson said in a statement.
The White Rose Restaurant Group includes several notable downtown York destinations including White Rose Bar & Grill, Rockfish Public House, Valencia Ballroom and the White Rose at Bridgewater in York Township.
The group recently hired former Left Bank owner David Albright as culinary director. Albright has been leading the redevelopment project at the Valencia Ballroom. The group opened White Rose at Bridgewater in April 2019.
The closure comes on the heels of a recent mandate from Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration that has limited indoor capacity for restaurants to 25 percent. The new mandate also restricts bar service, enforcing that beverages may only be purchased along with the sale and consumption of food.
The restaurant group will continue offering drop-off catering at White Rose Bar & Grill during the temporary closure, according to the news release.
