What is Central Pennsylvania’s liquor of choice? County-level retail sales data recently provided by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board revealed the midstate’s preferences.
Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey Old Number 7 (750 mL) was the top-selling spirit in Cumberland, Dauphin and Lebanon counties in 2015-16, according to the PLCB.
Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum was No. 1 in Lancaster County, while Fireball Cinnamon Whisky was the top seller in York County.
Fireball sold in York County led the way locally for highest dollar amount with nearly $737,000. That was more than 43,000 bottles sold just in York County.
