WellSpan Health opened its newest WellSpan Family Medicine practice in Windsor Township, York County last week.
Located at 3193 Cape Horn Road, the practice will be sharing resources and staff with the WellSpan Family Medicine in York Township.
The York Township practice currently has 10 providers and 35 additional staff and will be adding two providers to handle the additional patients coming from Windsor Township.
“WellSpan is always looking for ways to provide care as close to home as possible,” said Dr. Thomas McGann, executive vice president for clinical practice at WellSpan Health. “Our Dallastown patients now have the option to see their doctor in Red Lion if that’s more convenient for them. It’s about giving the patient the choice.”
WellSpan’s new practice features nine exam rooms and one procedure room and will offer primary care services for all ages including preventative care, annual physical exams, flu shots and immunizations.
The practice was a former urgent care-center that WellSpan purchased in May from Bel Air, Maryland-based ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers along with two other urgent care-centers in Shrewsbury and East Manchester townships.
WellSpan declined to announce the cost of the deal.
