A WellSpan Health practice in East Earl Township, Lancaster County, has doubled its space.
The practice, WellSpan Family Medicine, has taken over 3,000 square feet on the floor beneath its current office at 770 Broad St., effectively doubling its space.
“We were just stretched to the max where we were,” said Cindy Stauffer, a WellSpan spokeswoman.
The lower level space in the two-level building had been vacant, she added.
No new staff are joining the practice, which has two doctors and two nurse practitioners. But the new space adds three exam rooms, a waiting room and a lab.
Based in York Township, WellSpan operates six hospitals, a medical group and other health care services across Central Pennsylvania. A new CEO is expected to join the system in January.
