WellSpan enters dermatology field with first practice in York County

WellSpan Dermatology is opening at 296 St. Charles Way in York Township, a location the York-based health system selected for patient convenience and coordinated care within WellSpan.
It is opening the dermatology practice because it identified a need for better coordinated care in that health field, according to spokesperson Dan Carrigan.
There will be two dermatologists practicing at the new location as well as support staff, creating a total of 10 positions. Most of the positions have already been filled, Carrigan said.
Dermatologist Kelli Danowski joined the health system earlier this month and will practice at the new office. She will be joined by dermatologist Patricia Oyetakin in early September.
The providers will offer consultations for skin abnormalities, advanced treatments and therapies, and the latest in cosmetic procedures at the 6,800 square foot office, which has 14 patient rooms.
WellSpan Dermatology is already fully booked with appointments in its first week, Carrigan said.
