C&N, the Wellsboro-based bank, has opened its first office in Lancaster County, at 2098 Spring Valley Road, East Hempfield Township.

The full-service branch, across from the Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health suburban pavilion, is “an important enhancement to C&N’s expansion in the region,” a release noted.

The bank said the Lancaster office complements its branch on Whiteford Road in York, which debuted in April 2019.

“This new Lancaster location will be an ideal extension to the team in our York office as we continue to create value for this area’s customers for many years to come,” C&N President and CEO Brad Scovill said in the release.

C&N, which merged with Covenant Bank in April 2019, has 31 banking and loan production offices in Pennsylvania and New York state. It is a subsidiary of Citizens & Northern Corp., a bank holding company with assets of more than $2.4 billion.
