Weis renovates Dauphin County store

Weis Markets Inc. has remodeled its store in Lower Paxton
Township, Dauphin County.

Weis Markets Inc. has remodeled its store in Lower Paxton
Township, Dauphin County.

Work began about six months ago and wrapped up near the
beginning of October, said Dennis Curtin, director of public relations for the
grocery-store operator. Curtin would not disclose the cost of project.

Renovations included an expanded produce department, a new
service meat department and seafood department, an expanded deli with a pizza
kitchen, new décor and four more self-scan checkout lanes.

The store at 4300
Linglestown Road
now also offers the company’s
online shopping program, which allows customers to shop online and pick up
their order at the store. Weis offers this service at three other stores,
Curtin said.

Northumberland County-based Weis operates more than two
dozen stores in Central Pennsylvania. The
company’s stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol WMK.
