Jenny Craig is out of business.
The company, which had a store at Colonial Commons in Harrisburg, posted on its website that “It is with a heavy heart, we are announcing the close of our business.”
The website says all coaching sessions, food orders and merchandise sales have ceased online and in corporate centers. All auto-delivery subscriptions have been canceled.
The local center’s website has been shuttered.
According to a report by NBC News, in an email sent to employees May 2, the company said it will close “due to its inability to secure additional financing.”
Jenny Craig corporate and salaried field employees’ last day was May 5 and hourly center employees’ last day working was May 2, NBC News reported.
The company operated about 500 company-owned and franchised stores in the United States and Canada, according to H.I.G. Capital when it acquired Jenny Craig for an undisclosed amount in April 2019. It employed more than 1,000 people.
