Harrisburg-based WebpageFX Inc., a digital marketing company, plans to invest at least $2.7 million to expand its North Front Street headquarters.
The purchase and renovation of a 12,000-square-foot office building at 1711 N. Front St., which is adjacent to the company’s current location, also will mean about 80 new jobs over the next three years. The company currently employs 92 people.
WebpageFX, known for Internet marketing, web design and web development, recently was awarded a $500,000 grant from Impact Harrisburg, a nonprofit created in 2014 to help steer Harrisburg’s recovery from near-bankruptcy.
The state Department of Community and Economic Development has added a funding package worth nearly $500,000. That includes a $240,000 grant from the Pennsylvania First program, $160,000 in job creation tax credits and $68,000 in WEDnetPA funding for employee training.
WebpageFX is among the biggest tech firms in Harrisburg. But it’s not the only one growing in the capital city.
Over the last two years, several tech firms have decided to call Harrisburg home.
