Manheim Township-based Walz Group named Lynn Fitzsimons president effective Jan. 1, the firm announced in a news release Tuesday.
Fitzsimons, a 15-year veteran of Walz Group, succeeds Brett Tennis in the position. Tennis will continue working with his clients in addition to taking responsibility for the firm’s quality assurance and expanding his role on the business development team.
Fitzsimons, of Lancaster, joined the firm in 2002 as a senior accountant in the commercial enterprise division and rose to the rank of lead partner in its audit division.
As president, she will manage the day-to-day operations of the firm, providing “leadership, vision and general business oversight,” according to the release.
She is also active in the community, participating in the Lancaster Building Industry Association and serving on the board of directors for the United Way of Lancaster County.
“Lynn understands the importance of providing exceptional service and knowledgeable guidance to clients while cultivating new relationships with business associates and the community,” said Tennis, who had served as president since 2008. “Her enthusiasm, quest for knowledge, client involvement and fresh perspective will serve her well in this new role.”
Walz Group serves closely held and nonprofit entities throughout Southcentral Pennsylvania. It has roughly 50 full-time employees.
