Just as the city of Harrisburg has benefited from the leadership and vision of Mayor Stephen Reed, the city of Philadelphia has benefited from the leadership and vision of former Mayor Ed Rendell.
As we know, many people wrote off these cities and gave up on their future, except for those who stayed put and voted for progressive leaders who are pro-human rights and pro-economic development.
In order to continue to grow as a city, as a region and as a state, we desperately need a strong governor with a bold vision who will adequately fund public education, reform the regressive tax system and target state funds for the ongoing redevelopment of small, struggling cities like Harrisburg, Lebanon, York and Lancaster.
On primary election day, May 21, Central Pennsylvanians have the opportunity to nominate a proven leader: Democrat Ed Rendell for governor.
Reed and Rendell are cut from the same cloth. If you support the record of Reed, support Rendell.
